EVERYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW 

Mega | Micro is the only workout that effectively combines Strength, Endurance, Cardio, Balance and Flexibility training not only in one session but in each and every move. Thanks to its method, it is intense on the muscles, but low-impact and safe on the joints, spine, and connective tissues.
The Method, simply put, is the most innovative and aggressive approach to full body conditioning. It integrates the key elements of resistance and counter-resistance in a sequence that allows for periods of zero-gravity at peak muscle contraction. By exercising against the spring resistance, not only your muscle strength improves, but also with fat burning and lean muscles you enhance your body composition.
The composition of this method is significant in that it encourages maximum exertion, while allowing for a low risk of injury. In addition, it supports you to reach maximum effort, and each move develops your cardiovascular endurance. The sequence also promotes flexibility and elasticity.
After training with Mega | Micro, you’ll be leaving with a flexible and powerful body resistant to the everyday stress of work and life.

  • Arrive 20 minutes before your class to register and familiarise yourself with the class and ShapeUp. – Be prepared to enter the studio 10 minutes before class for an introduction to the Mega | Micro training. We take our health and safety requirements seriously, so there is no exception to a proper introduction before your first class.
  • Grip socks are required for Mega classes (Not required for Micro). Where your feet go, your head and hands will follow. Wearing socks ensures the cleanest surfaces on the machine and floor, but most importantly a safe workout. Regular socks or bare feet are not permitted in the studio. If you forget yours, we have them at the studio available for purchase.
  • Comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily and your muscles to stretch.
  • Please silence your mobile phones in order to maintain the flow of the class.
  • Arrive 20 minutes before your class to register and familiarize yourself with the class and ShapeUp. – Be prepared to enter the studio 10 minutes before class for talking to your instructor about your yoga, sport or injuiry (if you have) background.
  • Bare feet are required for Yoga+ classes, if you have shoes or socks with you, you can place in the closet in studio.
  • Comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily and your muscles to stretch.
  • Please silence your mobile phones in order to maintain the flow of the class.
  • We suggest not to eat anything 1 hour prior to your class.

Running is not something you born with it, some has genetic advantages and some needs to practice to learn, but in overall everybody can run!

At ShapeUp Running Academy, we start with teaching you the fundamentals of running (even if you have run before, we remind you). Once you have the basics we continue with showing your potential with the data we receive from your practices, and create you personalized program. Then in order to reach your maximum capacity (or increasing your capacity) we put short and long term goals to improve that potential. While short term goals are defined for practices, long terms goals are linked with tournaments.

So far, we saw many of guests started with ‘I cannot run’ and end up running half marathons after a year. We say don’t limit yourself with your thoughts, and just move one step forward every single day, you’ll be amazed by your potential.

There is no magic number, but we have seen that guest who get the most desirable and most dramatic results are training with us 3 to 4 times a week, with one day of recovery time between sessions. Yet, if you are professional athlete and want to shed a lot of fat quickly, you will need to train more frequently. At the same time, don’t forget that you cannot out train a bad diet.

Our attendants practice Yoga+ for all sorts of reasons, but they generally fall into the following basic categories:

Primary:
For those who use yoga as their primary wellness, daily practice is ideal. Also, look for various workshops we offer throughout the year to expand your practice.

Complementary:
If you’re pairing yoga with other forms of exercise, you’d do well with minimum two to three sessions per week to build strength and flexibility.

Recovery:
Whether coming back from injury or trying to avoid one, one to three session of Yin Yoga is smart. The more active you are, the more important it is to build recovery into your weekly routine.

One of the best things about the Mega | Micro is that it can be adapted to any fitness level. With the ability to adjust the resistance level on the Mega | Micro, the workout can suit each person’s abilities.

We do not require new guests to start with a private session, since Mega | Micro classes are designed to be done in a group setting. Our classes accommodate a wide range of fitness levels and our team is trained to work with a variety of people to meet their individual physical needs.

Private sessions are great for those who are new to doing sport, recovering from an injury, or simply love the freedom to book outside of the Mega | Micro class schedule. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know so we can take care of you.

Also, all of our instructors at ShapeUp are trained to offer modifications and more advanced options for each and every move. With every class comes increased confidence and strength, so we encourage everyone to improve their own pace and have fun.
